Tinney Sue Heath is the author of A Thing Done, a historical novel set in 13th century Florence and published by Fireship Press. She started college in Boston at the New England Conservatory with the intention of becoming a professional flutist, but after a rather abrupt change of direction she wound up with a degree in journalism from Antioch College. In time, the traditional “who, what, when, where, and why” took a back seat to “what if,” and now her focus is on writing fiction.

Her musical and historical interests eventually merged, and she discovered the pleasures of playing late medieval and early Renaissance music on a great variety of instruments. Her historical interests center on Dante's Florence, so she and her husband Tim spend a

It's been very Yeatsian out there lately. A glance at any newspaper, or my Facebook feed, is enough to give rise to despair, or at the very least acute anxiety. I've already bailed from Twitter and I can't believe Facebook is very far behind. It's a mess out there, folks, and I wish I were less sensitive to it.
