Hi everyone,

I've just finished writing the first draft of my next book which will be a novella! The idea for it has been hanging around for years...before I started writing Aventurine Heart even! So I'm really happy it's done...well the bones of it anyway. Tons of editing and polishing is next up before it's fit for public viewing.
I can tell you the what the title is though...........WARD 3...

It's a horror/thriller set in a psychiatric hospital in Fortraven (yep there again).
I'll let you know when I have a release date in mind.

In the meantime I've also been writing a book of short stories- horror/thriller mostly too. So look out for some sneak previews over the coming weeks!

Cheers,
Carole.

The Keeper (Keeper, #1)The Keeper by Sarah Langan

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is both a disturbing and fantastic read. I found myself reading it in large chunks, staying up til 4 in the morning for two reasons: 1) It was 'un-putdownable' and 2) it got to me so much that I wanted to get through it as quickly as possible, like getting blood taken!
I thought I had a dark and twisted mind but Langan takes the biscuit! In fact, reading her work has inspired me to let loose even more with my own writing...

Overall, it's a must-read but not for the faint-hearted. It will psycologically imprint on you and linger long after you've put it down. The Keeper has a Stephen King quality to it in the way Langan builds the climax and her disturbing imagery which is vivid to say the least!

The only bad thing I have to say about it is that the last bit dragged slightly and tended to repeat itself a little too much. Otherwise, I couldn't reccommend it more.

Hi everyone,
I'm having problems with my e-book on Goodreads at the moment but if anyone would like to purchase the e-book of Aventurine Heart please go to
https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...
where it's available in most e-book formats.
Aventurine Heart is also now available to buy on amazon.co.uk as well as amazon.com.
You can also get it from my e-store (which is preferable)
https://www.createspace.com/3851286

Thanks for all your support,
Carole.
P.S. I just created a quiz for anyone who's read the book-it's just a bit of fun. Find it on my updates!

Hi everyone,

First of all I want to say welcome and thank you for visiting my page. I'm new to Goodreads and still finding my feet so please be patient, (I'm a sensitive little writer :) ).
I have just released my debut novel, Aventurine Heart and I'm very excited about it. I never thought I'd see the day when I could hold a book in my hand that I had written. It's an amazing feeling. I spent most of my youth with my head stuck in a book and I still carry one with me everywhere I go. I love being able to escape into another world just by turning a page.
Thank you to everyone who has entered my book giveaway, I feel that it's an important tool that Goodreads has provided authors with. Good luck!
Also I'd like to thank the people who have added my book to their to-read shelves and to the people who have bought it. It's slow going so far but hopefully with time it will reach more people. I just feel that it's a good story; fun and dark all at once. I enjoyed writing it and I hope you will enjoy reading it.
Thanks to everyone who has befriended me so far and I hope many more will.
If you'd like to download my e-book please go to https://www.smashwords.com/books/view... or of course you can read it in the traditional manner which I have to say, will always be my favourite way. Nothing beats the physical feel and smell of a book. I'm tactile that way.
Anyway, thank you for listening to my blabbing, sorry blogging lol!
I'm new to that too so again please be patient. Some days I'm full of talk and others I'm like a mute hermit living in a cave. My poor fiancee knows this only too well. He's in hospital at the moment, waiting for an operation on his spine so please keep your fingers crossed, it goes OK.
Kind regards to all my new friends and readers,
Carole.
