About this author

I'm the author of GHOST PLANET, an RWA RITA Award finalist ("best first book") that Publishers Weekly calls "... an absorbing and exciting story full of science, sex, and intriguing plot twists."

From a romance perspective what intrigued me about the story was the idea of enemies-turned-lovers who literally cannot get away from each other. How does that affect the dynamics of falling in love, and of working together to overcome the story's external conflicts?

My second novel, ECHO 8 (2011 Golden Heart finalist), is a sci-fi/paranormal blend about an energy "vampire" from an alternate Earth, the FBI agent intent on destroying him, and the parapsychologist caught in between.

I'm currently working on my third novel, for Tor -- a post-apocalyptic...more

" I like Sci-fi, but I am not normally as engrossed in reading it as I am fantasy. Ghost Planet is definitely one of the exceptions to that. It was a sci-fi with a great plot, characters, and romance. I felt captivated by it from the beginning and i... " Read more of this review »

“This is not a quote, just an FYI. I like posting what I'm reading, but as an author I don't feel comfortable rating/reviewing other authors' work. So the fact I have not rated the books in my reading list is no reflection on the books!”

“A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”
