B.C. Johnson was born in 1985 in Southern California. He discovered a love for telling stories at seven-years-old when he made a super-plagiarized version of "Ferngully" but with penguins. Between then and now he's worked a number of odd jobs, including machinist, lighting designer, demolitionist, sound mixer, receptionist, custodian, and museum events manager.

He lives in Garden Grove with his rad wife Gina, his adorable monster-boy Dash, and also a Corgi-beast named Luna.

When he's not playing video games, drumming on every surface imaginable, or spending way too much time reading tvtropes.org, you may find him writing completely not-stolen (he promises) stories.

It's a really lame answer, but it's completely true. "Writer's block" is really "writer's trip." What I mean by that is it's just a little stumble, usually caused by self-confidence or even just a bad day of writing. Get your feet and keep walking.

You think what your writing sucks, so you think you suck, so you sit quietly and contemplate your suckitude instead of just working. Every 1st draft sucks - you're part of a long, proud tradition. Hold on to that comfort and keep writing. You can fix it later.

You can't fix writing you never wrote, though.(less)

I have a spooky/creepy (also scary) story called "Roomies" in this book: Curiosity Quills: Darkscapes

January 31st! That's soon, like, very soon. Or it's in the past, I can't know where you are in the timestream. And it would be arrogant of me to presume.

Anyway, I think it's a cool story - claustrophobia, roommates being creepy, unexplainable Lovecraftian breaches in reality - so please check it... Read more of this blog post »

Funny how small and simple this story is, and yet it spawned Holmes' "female counterpoint" that persists so heavily in TV and film adaptations. I dug it.
