Taylor Adams's Blog

Lacer (my black lab) and I climed the mountain last Saturday. The weather was perfect and we could clearly see the White Mountains to the east. Toward the west was Lake Champlain and the view was absolutely beautiful.

I'm in Montgomery, Vermont for the next 2 days. The views of Jay Peak are just amazing and I left my camera at home. The rooms here at The Black Lantern Inn are cozy and feel like home. When I walked in the door one of the employee's asked "Are you Taylor?" Not because they had ever heard of me or knew me. I thought that was cool.

Had a perfect weekend here in The Green Mountain State.

The weather was just right so my buddy JT and I hiked Pinnacle Peak on Saturday. The views were amzazing. We could see for miles and had a bird's eye view of The Trapp family lodge.

It was a great holiday weekend here in Vermont. The weather was perfect, the garden is planted, bought some cheese, hand made soap and Vermont made peanut butter (yes, it has almonds, dried fruit and sunflower seeds along with peanuts and other good stuff) at the farmers market on Saturday. Now Robin and I are recovering from the cookout that we went to last night. What a perfect beginning to summer!

I'm embarrassed to admit how many times I've read all three books, but I'm a huge fan of Lisbeth Salander. I find the books to be incredibly thrilling.
Can anyone recommend another current thriller?

Robin's Vermont is loosely based on real life experiences my wife Robin and I have encountered.

Is it corny or sappy to use my wife as my central character in the stories that I write? Should I even mention that my wife is my muse? Is it a turn off to readers?

My book Robin's Vermont is loosely based on experiences my wife and I have encountered since moving east 10 years ago. Since then we have encountered many interesting people. Some have actually taken us in as adopted family members.

Robin's Vermont is not intended to be some great literary masterpiece. It is intended to be a fictional story based on real human experiences.
