About this author

Paula Lynn Johnson loves a good ghost story. She's a former English major and attorney living in central New Jersey with her husband, kids, cat, dog, and killer rabbit. She adores them all, even the killer rabbit.

Paula also loves a good laugh! You can read her short, humorous pieces on sites like The Big Jewel and Errant Parent, or on her blog, Twaddle Like a Duck.

When she's not writing, Paula sells antiques and art out of Lambertville, NJ. You can visit her online at Tiny's Lambertville.

Well, guys, I took the plunge and now The Grave Artist is available in hard copy through CreateSpace/Amazon. Recommend to your friends who don't have Kindle!

Churchill by Paul Johnson
Devotion by Dani Shapiro
I recommend that you don't read this all in one sitting. I took on a chapter or two a day, which made it read like beautifully-written prayer beads.

Only Nancy Mitford can make adultery charming. Great read if you like your breezy wit laced with some satire.
Crazy Salad by Nora Ephron
If you can get your hands on it, I recommend reading the original hardback/paperback issued in the seventies. You get all the essays in their completeness.

Before reading this book, I was only familiar with Nora Ephron from Sleepless in Seattle and Yo...more

Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail
by Cheryl Strayed (Goodreads Author)
read in September, 2012
This was a beautifully written book. I know some people have problems with the fact that Strayed left her husband/did heroin/slept around/was woefully unprepared for her hike. I would have had problems, too, if Strayed excused these things, or begged...more

We Learn Nothing: Essays and Cartoons
by Tim Kreider (Goodreads Author)
read in January, 2012
I found Tim Kreider through his NY Times essay on busyness, which was just perfect. I did a little digging around the web, found his cartoons, and thought: "Oh, Wow. This guy is way to the left of me politically. And he seems rabid, frothing-at-the-m...more
