When I was in St. Louis last month reading at my alma mater Washington University, I stayed in my cousin's room. There, I found a hulking, hardcover copy of "IT" by Stephen King.

This book terrified me. I'm not sure if it's PTSD from watching that terrible 80s made-for-TV movie when I was four or if I was truly scared by this as an adult Whereever this fear stems from, it was real.
