About this author

As a child, Annette Bower told and repeated stories. She was often reprimanded for being a tattletale. She recalls finding a quiet place and making up stories for her own entertainment. She, along with friends, wrote and produced a high school play and she wrote angst poetry in high school and nursing school.
Since the early 1990s she receives affirmation from her fiction and creative non-fiction short stories that are published in anthologies, and magazines in Canada, the United States and the UK. She writes about women in family and women in love and women’s quest for love. She is excited that her first contemporary romance Moving On-A Prairie Romance is electronic published by XoXo Publishing™ as of December 2011.
Her second novel, Woman o...more

Lemon Meringue Pie Murder by Joanne Fluke
Cozy mystery. Not a cook but enjoyed the thoughts of the recipes.
Kiss of the Christmas Wind by Janelle Taylor
Rescue Me by Jana Richards
Rescue Me
by Jana Richards
read in March, 2013
Jana Richards showed that characters can change and grow when they are trusted and supported. Great pool side read.
A Purse to Die For by Melodie Campbell
A Purse to Die For
by Melodie Campbell (Goodreads Author)
read in March, 2013
I enjoyed the fashion clue and the main character's detective skills. One of the main mysteries remained unsolved for me.
The Baby Who Saved Dr Cynical by Connie Cox
The Baby Who Saved Dr Cynical (Mills & Boon Medical)
by Connie Cox (Goodreads Author)
read in March, 2013
This was a 4 tear read for me as well. Connie Cox fed Dr. Cynical's life in a little at a time to explain and not excuse his apparent brisk bedside manner.
Osaka Heat by Mary Claire Mahaney
Osaka Heat
by Mary Claire Mahaney
read in March, 2013
I enjoyed this book because Mary Claire Mahaney kept her character true to her beliefs. Nice to read in some of the contemporary world. Her love of sushi was descriptive to say the least.
I recommend this book as an engaging full story about an older...more
Always the Best Man by Fiona Harper
Always the Best Man
by Fiona Harper (Goodreads Author)
read in March, 2013
I'm reviewing some books by tears. This was a 4 tear book. I read it beside a pool on holiday and scrubbed at tears because Fiona Harper had me engaged with her characters.
The Friends of Eddie Coyle by George V. Higgins
The Friends of Eddie Coyle
by George V. Higgins
read in February, 2013
I read this book because I read a review which stated that George V. Higgins was a master of story telling with dialogue.
This story does have mostly dialogue. And it is well told.
The Forgotten Child by Lorhainne Eckhart
The Forgotten Child (The Friessen Legacy, #1)
by Lorhainne Eckhart (Goodreads Author)
read in February, 2013
I enjoyed reading Emily's growing relationship with Trevor the obvious "Forgotten Child" but also Brad the man who realized that he needed his parents, especially his Dad.
Thursdays in the Park by Hilary Boyd
Thursdays in the Park
by Hilary Boyd
read in January, 2013
I enjoyed this book because it was written about an age group that are sometimes forgotten.
Although couples in their retirement age are expected to act a certain way does not mean that they will and the characters in this book, break the stereotypes.
