“Sometimes the slightest things change the directions of our lives, the merest breath of a circumstance, a random moment that connects like a meteorite striking the earth. Lives have swiveled and changed direction on the strength of a chance remark.”

cant wait to see what we have in common :D
Another response from facebook that I thought readers should see.Linda: It's a shame that you had to write this, what a huge achievement to publish a book on a slightly taboo topic. The story is delicately written and is unfortunately a topic that needs more understanding and awareness.
Great to have an update on this disscussion already which is being discussed on facebookTwo responses so far
Jimi: Hi, is this in response to something particular? It would be useful to know what this is a reaction to. Also, I believe all publicity is good publicity, so if people are talking about your work, regardless of their opinion, it just adds to the buzz. Everyone's a critic but not everyone creates.
Dominique: Everyone has their own writing style, that's what makes reading interesting. Sometimes it is not how something is written but the message it carries that is important.
Behind the Mask was never written as a literary classic. So if you are a reader that enjoys that type of book, DO NOT read this one! Also please DO NOT judge the book as if it is a literary classic.Behind the Mask was simply written to develop a greater awareness of abuse in its many forms, physical and emotional.
The book was intended to reach all cultures and therefore another reason for its clear, direct and honest approach.
It covers themes of love, betrayal, abuse and freedom.
I realise NOT all readers will be able to empathize with the story and will be judgemental. On the other hand I am pleased to have received a lot of positive feedback from the many people who have found the book a great support, beneficial, inspiring and an interesting read.
Thanks for taking the time to read Behind the Mask and giving it a chance.

Thanks for the friendvite, Juliet! Super cool profile pic btw. I'm assuming the book placement isn't a coincidence since it lines up very closely to your face. http://vampirenovelfan.wordpress.com/
Happy reading!
