August 6, 2012

Hey gang, sorry for the long pause between goodreads posts. To make up for my dilly-dallying about and neglecting this roadside diner on my social media highway I would like to offer a snippit from the book I wrote called, Dreaming in Nuchatlitz - a paddling journey.
To read this excerpt please follow the link to my kayaking blog site.

I have written a review of a goodread that I would like to pass on to everyone out there. It is a small press publication but well worth the effort of contacting the publisher directly.
The book is called, Journeys - Stories from Clayoquot Sound. It is a collection of short stories from BC writer and homesteader Frank Harper who lives in a homemade cabin in Clayoquot Sound British Columbia, near the town of Tofino.
Here is the link to my book review, which includes contact info.

I have just read and reviewed Joe Glickman's book Fearless accounting Freya Hoffmeister's attempt to circumnavigate Australia. Below is the link to that review and what I wrote on my kayak blog site.

Check it out, a pretty goodread!

March 15, 2012

Hey out there in Goodread land. Well, after a long month of waiting (it is just as exciting to me) I have been presented with a list of the 5 lucky winners of my first self-published work about my entry into the world of sea kayaking, Black Pearls of Wisdom.
It could be considered a rare book as it was not widely distributed, so I hope you guys enjoy the read.
It has been an unorganized week here but I will have the signed copies out first thing Friday!
Again, thanks for clicking on the giveaway link and look for a new book giveaway for my most recent kayaking guide, The Hungry Kayaker, a common sense guide to cooking and camping.

Congrat!

I spent my weekend having a cold and slumped over the computer with a case of writer's block as well as a runny nose. I had to be creative so went back into the movie maker and tweaked my Dreaming in Nuchatlitz book trailer to something a little shorter and more or less to the point. Take a peek!

Hey gang, I've been playing with the movie maker again and whipped up a short trailer for The Hungry Kayaker. Version one...I have ideas, and having to work around my desires to have Morgan Freeman do the voice-over work has proven difficult. Take a look. Let me know what you think. I enjoy all the feedback I can beg.
