My mother died this spring, and I have started writing about her life, which had many challenges. I like to celebrate strong women in my books, and she was one of the strongest women I have known, although she wasn't seen as such for most of her life. Because there are many holes in the history of her life, I am having to make up some of the details, so I guess you would call this a fictional memoir of sorts as her life obviously connects with mine. :-) (less)

We had read a news story about a blanket rapist that was targeting women near Dallas, and started the "what if" game. What if the killer did more than rape the victims. About halfway through the book, Margaret came up with the idea of the "doubletake." I wasn't sure it would work, though, but she convinced me, and I'm glad she did. (less)

Donna, I don't come to Goodreads that often, either. I should as it is a great place for readers and writers. Just have so much to do.... LOL

Donna Crow Thank you for the invite, Maryann. I don't use Goodreads as effectively as I should--can't always seem to get current reads to load, etc. But I occasionally get a review out. Am currently reading a new author Gwyneth Bledsoe. May put up a review if I like the outcome.
