About this author

Samantha Hoffman’s debut novel, What More Could You Wish For, was published by St. Martin’s Press in August of 2012. She lives and writes in Chicago and her stories have appeared in Chicken Soup for the Dieter's Soul, The Corner Magazine in London and numerous other print and online publications.
She is currently working on her second novel, The Ones You Left Behind.

The Virgin of Small Plains by Nancy Pickard
"Eh, it was okay. I guess I could never forgive the book for it's first 30 pages. Ugh, awful. Teenage sexual angst is weird to begin with but when it's poorly written it's just downright uncomfortable. I felt like my mom wrote it, not quite remembe..." Read more of this review »

"It appears that I am in the minority in this rating. If it had not been written by Anne Tyler, I would not have finished this book. I think that I have read all of her novels, but this one fell flat..for me. It rambled and there were no characters..." Read more of this review »

Judi Tepe I agree with you. This is one of my favorite reads also. It's a timeless story and so well written.
