About this author

J. R. Wagner was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania, during a blizzard. The snow made travel by car impossible, so his father called an ambulance when his mother went into labor. The ambulance became stuck at the bottom of their home’s driveway, prompting the dispatch of a fire truck, which towed the ambulance to the hospital where he was
born.

Maybe it was this experience that destined J.R. to love adventure.
A competitive cyclist, triathlete, mountain biker, and adventure racer, he once received a medal for saving a woman’s life during the kayaking section of an adventure race.

J.R. drafted his first story, a sequel to Return of the Jedi, when he was ten years old. A self-proclaimed Star Wars geek, he had lofty aspirations of working with Geo...more

I know this is totally random but I was pondering while driving past yet another Dunkin' Donuts being constructed and I realized what the difference between these two coffee giants truly is.
They both have
Good coffeeGood baked stuffGood non-coffee beverage selections
But there is something Starbucks has that Dunkin' does not and, in my opinion, never will.
Has anyone ever thought, hey, I'm going... Read more of this blog post »

I LOVE Hugh Howey but this book fell short simply because of the lack of characterization. The concept is great, horrifying and compelling but a concept without someone to care about left me feeling empty. I would not pass on this book simply because...more

Very Divergent-esque yet it had enough originality to keep it interesting. Worth a read for sure.

J.R. Wagner @Shambhawi, excellent! There are few things more enjoyable than discussing a good book.

@Aalaa, A native Pennsylvanian! I will check out your blog for sure. Give a shout if you need anything for your blog (I have a good supply of giveaway goodies)

Aalaa(Ayla) Hello Mr J.R Wagner!
First of all, thank you so much for the add! It feels great to have an author add me as a friend on Goodreads! And I'm glad that you're from PA! And we both are actually from Montgomery County! I live in King of Prussia, however.
I have a book blog on tumblr that I recently started and I am going to write my own book reviews there. Feel free to check it out! its: ilovebooksandstuff.tumblr.com

So again, thank you so much and your book 'Exiled' is on my to-read list!

Aalaa

Shambhawi P. Thanks for the add! I see that we have a bit too similar taste in books :) Look forward to chatting with you.

J.R. Wagner Hey all, thank you for accepting!

@Ehmi -I'd be a pretty lame-o author if I didn't interact with readers :)

@Pang -keep your eyes peeled, Exiled will be available for free sometime within the next two weeks.

@Greta -The road is insanely well written -truly a work of art...it is also insanely depressing. I have added Ashfall to my 'to read' list. Thank you!

٩(◔◡◔)✌ ehღi thanks for adding me :)
you are an author..

message 17: by Pang

Pang Hi J.R. :D Thanks for the invite! =D Your Book is very interesting! See you around! :P

message 16: by Greta

Greta Hey, thanks for the friend request.
The Road seems like it is waaay to serious for me. That's post-apocolyptic, right? Cannibalism?
I read one book by that author, though. I read All the Pretty Horses (The Border Trilogy, #1) by Cormac McCarthy and it was beautiful writing.
If you love post apocalyptic, have you read Ashfall (Ashfall, #1) by Mike Mullin? I really liked it.

Jonababez Thanks for the add! :)

Teresa Thanks for the friend request! Even though I live in Australia, I managed to get my hands on some Reeses! I gotta say...They. Are. Addicting!!
