About this author

Jack Scott was born on a British army base in Canterbury, England in 1960 and spent part of his childhood in Malaysia as a ‘forces brat’. A fondness for men in uniforms quickly developed. So until I’ve had my fill of gay-attired jolly-making, Perking the Pansies will be off the air and downthe pub. Whatever Christmas means … Continue reading → Read more of this blog post »

“You're an expatriate. You've lost touch with the soil. You get precious. Fake European standards have ruined you. You drink yourself to death. You become obsessed with sex. You spend all your time talking, not working. You are an expatriate, see? You hang around cafes.”

May is usually lovely in Turkey. Spring's much more bearable than summer which is way too hot!

Jack Scott I'm a wee bit shell-shocked. Why? Because I've received a Rainbow Book Award in not just one but two categories.

BEST LGBT BIOGRAPHIES & MEMOIRS

BEST GAY DEBUT NOVEL/BOOK

And if this wasn't enough, the awards come with a couple of stunning reviews. Perking the Pansies - Jack and Liam move to Turkey by Jack Scott
