added a status update: I’m trying to raise money to remove landmines from Cambodia. If you purchase a copy of Temple of a Thousand Faces between now and May 15th, please let me know, and I’ll make a $2 donation to http://www.landmine-relief-fund.com/ .
Any money raised can go a long way. For instance, about $200 pays for a deminer’s salary for an entire month, and $50 clears 500 square feet of a minefield. Thank you. - John |

"
I loved this book. It was about love, war, jealousy, betrayal & friendship.
I enjoyed d the concept behind the story line on how the Taj Mahal was built. " |

Well those publishers better start making offers, 'cause I can't wait to read your other books. :) Beneath a Marble Sky is such a great success in my country, I just know people out here are inpatient to read your other books. Good luck with this and keep up the great work!

I think that Cross Currents will end up being available in many languages, but that takes time, probably a few years. I wish that things went faster in this area! If the book does well in the U.S., then foreign publishers will start to make offers for it. But again, this takes time. Thanks for asking! :) - John
Thank you very much for accepting my invite John. Is there any chance for "Cross Currents" to be translated in Serbia or Macedonia anytime soon? I hope this will be arranged because I bet readers in this part of the world would definitely enjoy it. Many regards
Nanette,Thanks for your nice message about the award. I appreciate your kind words!
Have a wonderful week! - John
Tessa,'Rooftops' is a novel set in Iran during the '70s. At the core it's the story of a young man who falls in love with a woman who is involved with anti-government forces. I enjoyed the tale, as I like stories set overseas. Plus, I know the author well and he is a good guy... I see that you review quite a few books on this site. If you'd like to read either of my novels, please let me know and I'll send you a copy. Have a great weekend. - John
John, What is the basic plotline of Rooftops of Tehran? What about the book makes you give it 5 stars?
Thanks for the "heads-up" on this to-be-published work.

Hi John, Congrats on your books and also thanks for the friendship! Hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving.Smiles, Jeannie
Well, I started your 2nd book and I'm already hooked John! I love your style and how you seem to make the characters so very real. For a fiction writer you have a magic that turns fiction into reality! Now if I could just find time to read it all in one sitting! LOL
Thanks for the friend request John! I just found a book I'd never heard of by looking through the books on your page! :) Thanks again!
John - thanks for inviting me to this site. I am looking forward to reading your new book - and learning about other books on this site. All the best to you!
John,Thank you for thinking of me. As you know, I loved BAMs and am truly looking forward to starting your second book, which I have purchased. I'm not sure how this site works, but a site based on reading and books sounds like my kind of thing. Hope you and your family are doing well! Congratulations on completing your second novel!! Marie
Thanks for adding me! I had no clue you have created another book! I've already ordered it on Amazon! I'm not writing book reviews anymore for Readerviews as I was off for medical issues but I'm reading now just for the fun of it! (Imagine that! LOL) You have to know that ANY time I'm asked what my favorite book of all time is.... YOURS is the one I pick! Beneath A Marble Sky was truly the best thing I've EVER read and you KNOW I've read many!!!!!!
Can't wait to read your newest!!!!!!!
I loved "BENEATH A MARBLE SKY" and recommended it to all my friends who felt the same way as me. I'm so happy that John's new book is out and can't wait to read it. Suzanne
I absolutely love Beneath a Marble Sky!! I tell people all the time they need to read it. And I can't wait for the movie. :-)
John's interest and love for peoples of the world is clearly reflected in his writing. His understanding of the female perspective is uncommon for someone so young and male at that! Beside A Burning Sea was a unique and memorable story that is a story within the greater unfolding of WWII. John's captures the essence of these characters as he captured the central characters of Beneath A Marble Sky. John is an extraordinary talent and I can't wait for his next book!Patsy
