A very different read from book one of the FRUGALITY trilogy, but equally brilliant. Indeed, I enjoyed this more. There are some utterly hilarious moments, as well as some that are truly heart-rending.

Remarkable story about love lost (or at least put on hold) in the face of mental illness. Thus novel was a surprise. Part 2 and 3 if the Frugality series are already downloaded on my Kindle. This author gets highlighted a lot!

I keep 5-star reviews for books that I find truly exceptional. I’m giving this one 5 and, if I could, I’d give it 10.
The writing style has developed through the trilogy into an extraordinary, free-flowing pouring forth of prose that is frequently... " Read more of this review » |

Hello!!!
Very kind of you to say so! They're a little mad but I like them. But nowhere near as mad as Ulysses - which I absolutely love!!!! Reading it feels like any literary chains I once had (which weren't many!) have finally gone! Free at last!!
I see you're reading Ulysses! Can't wait to read your review of it... I'm "reading"/listening to the audiobook of Finnegan's Wake [also by Joyce]. I just found out about your novels and have heard nothing but complementary reviews. I can't wait to give the Frugality series a read!

Thank you so much Lanye. I don't know what to say except your words made me tingly when I read them. Thanks for making my day here in little Tollesbury. Cheers! Stu
Hello Mr. Ayris, I finished your book Tollesbury Time Forever last night. And I just thought you would like to know that I was completely blown away by it. I could not put it down. I became lost in the village of Tollesbury through the eyes of Simon. You have such a way with words. I am so glad that I have discovered you as an author.
Nice to meet you James! Anything I can help you with, just let me know! If I don't know the answer I can at least point you in the right direction!Cheers!
Thanks for the friend request Stuart. I'm still getting to grips with Goodreads, so it's nice to see someone who seems to have it worked out well.
