Amanda Rose Adams is disturbed by Goodreads "date of death" selector on her author configuration page, but she understands the point of it. Despite frequent accusations of being "deep," Amanda is actually pretty funny, or at least she hopes she is.

Adams sense of mortality began when her father died at the young age of 48 and deepened when her best friend Mary died at 25. Thinking the worst was behind her, Amanda was devastated when her much desired first child, Liam, was diagnosed inutero with a several lethal heart defects.

Amanda and her husband Jim didn't give up on Liam, and their amazing fight through twelve heart surgeries is documented in Adams first book Heart Warriors, A Family Faces Congenital Heart Disease.

Heart Warriors comes out in a month plus a few days. I'm so excited to see what happens, where the book goes, what people think about it.
