About this author

Vickie writes romantic suspense. She's the author of three distinctive, very different series of books, The Evil Trilogy, the Pelican Pointe series, and the Skye Cree novels. She's just finished her ninth book, The Bones Will Tell, the second story in the Skye Cree saga.

Vickie loves to write and enjoys getting two people together where she mixes in a good mystery or suspense guaranteed to challenge the budding relationship between the two main characters.

Her female leads are usually strong-willed, independent women and definitely not the kind who sit around whimpering, waiting for someone to rescue them. Not only that, when you read one of Vickie's books, you'll get a happy ending.

In her spare time, Vickie loves the outdoors, loves to play

"Great read, has everything.

The author did a very good job of never losing the reader's interest. The animal rescue center was especially good. The workings of a small oceanside town with it's neighbours and struggles to prosper provided suggestion..." Read more of this review »

“Prophetically, poetically, philosophically: for he thought of himself as all those things, prophet, poet and philosopher, he wondered if anyone ever really knew another person. Oh, they think they do, would swear that they knew another’s heart. But does one person ever really know the evil that lurks inside another? He laughed”
Vickie McKeehan, Just Evil

“Reluctantly she threw back the covers, crawled out of the cocoon, and headed into the closest thing to a rainforest she’d ever get to see. She didn’t understand how anyone could spend a scant five minutes in that shower and not want to set up camp. But she’d give it her best shot. She played with the buttons on the panel to set the water temp a tad hotter. As Pearl Jam battered the senses through the speakers, she closed her eyes and did her best to imagine standing naked under a waterfall in a green and balmy rainforest.  ”
Vickie McKeehan, The Bones of Others

Dillon Clay Asher Vickie, thank you for accepting my friend request.
I've downloaded Promise Cove, Just Evil
and The Bones Will Tell,
looking forward to reading them.
Best wishes!

Black Butterfly WONDERFUL OLD FASHION ROMANTIC READ, GREAT BACKGROUND ON CHARACTERS. I SO ENJOY BOOKS ABOUT LIFE IN A SMALL TOWNS AND "PELICAN POINTE" IS JUST WHAT I LOVE ABOUT SMALL TOWNS. THE UPS & DOWNS OF DAILY LIVING, THIS IS WHAT'S MISSING IN AMERICA, CLOSE CONNECTION WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS. CARING FOR ONE ANOTHER, WORKING TOGETHER FOR A COMMON GOAL. THIS STORY HAD ALL THAT PLUS SEXXY ROMANCE WITH A TOUCH OF MYSTERY, ALL WRAPPED UP IN A GREAT WELL WRITTEN SERIES. I LIKE HOW THAT PART OF LIFE IN "PELICAN POINTE" FEATURING ETHAN & HAYDEN ENDED BUT THEY WILL CONTINUE TO BE HEARD FROM BECAUSE THEY LIVE THERE. SOME THINGS WERE LEFT UNEXPLAINED(for a reason I know)LIKE WHATS-UP-WITH KENT SPRINGER & SISSY CARR? I HOPE WE LEARN IN THE NEXT BOOK (insert the old organ music here dah-dah-dahhhhn) I PLAN ON FINDING OUT. ;D

Vickie McKeehan Jerod wrote: "It very much is what ou do, and you do it well as I see it comes from the heart. It inspirest me to write another novel, after a few years of feeling burnt out."

Why did you feel burned out?

I went through a defeated period after an agent kept my manuscript for 15 months and then cut me loose because she couldn't get anyone to bite. You see, I was certain after keeping it for such a long time, I'd get published. When that didn't happen, I nosedived. But eventually I came out of it.

What I learned is you really have to write for yourself. Write because it makes you happy. Write because if you didn't it would feel like you lost a part of yourself. At least, that's the way it is for me. And absolutely never let anyone tell you you shouldn't write.

I bought your book by the way on Apple for my iPad. I'm about a third of the way into it and it's good. I'm enjoying it very much.

Vickie McKeehan Wow! Thank you! What a wonderful article. I've got to connect that to my Facebook page some way.

Is that really the impression I give? Because I love the fact that you picked up on that. I think possibly that might be the first time anyone has. It's what I set out to do but I don't think anyone's noticed, except maybe you. lol

Thanks so much. Any time I can be of help, don't hesitate to ask or bring something to my attention.

Thanks again.

Vickie
