I went through a defeated period after an agent kept my manuscript for 15 months and then cut me loose because she couldn't get anyone to bite. You see, I was certain after keeping it for such a long time, I'd get published. When that didn't happen, I nosedived. But eventually I came out of it.
What I learned is you really have to write for yourself. Write because it makes you happy. Write because if you didn't it would feel like you lost a part of yourself. At least, that's the way it is for me. And absolutely never let anyone tell you you shouldn't write.
I bought your book by the way on Apple for my iPad. I'm about a third of the way into it and it's good. I'm enjoying it very much.
Wow! Thank you! What a wonderful article. I've got to connect that to my Facebook page some way. Is that really the impression I give? Because I love the fact that you picked up on that. I think possibly that might be the first time anyone has. It's what I set out to do but I don't think anyone's noticed, except maybe you. lol
