About this author

I'm a recent author who published his debut YA urban fantasy novel. It is the first in a five-part series called the Sonora Series. I grew up in Portland, Oregon. I derived the entire story from a dream of a far off world linked to Earth. I've incorporated a lot of our own history, with a bit of an alien twist.

I was watching the new Great Gatsby movie trailer and I noticed an interesting sign in Times Square during a couple parts in the preview. I would like to think that it was an ingenious marketing scheme that I worked out with Baz Luhrmann and the production team, but alas, its simply a coincidence. Still great to see though!

This book, in simple terms, was one of the best books I've read this year! I can see why this is being made into a movie. Max Brooks took a subject and completely made it his own. World War Z is a mix between 28 Days Later & Contagion. I love the...more

This book was intriguing, well written, and had great character development. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the ending. As an author of a fantasy series myself, I feel as though the first book has to end but leave it op...more
