is 50% done with Highest Duty: What an inspiring story about an amazing man! This would be a great read for teenagers to inspire them to the respect, sense of duty and responsibility, and faithfulness Mr. Sullenberger has so amply demonstrated.

A sweet story, although slow to start and somewhat predictable. A moving story of the importance of forgiveness and the necessity of not harboring bitterness.

“As surely as spring followed winter, new life followed death, fighting for its place on the earth. Let man do his worst, yet still the tentative shoots of faith and hope sprouted the ruins of shattered lives and broken dreams. Resurrection was real, after all.”

Good for you J.M. to tackle a rarely written about topic and something that folks in Northern Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania certainly are exposed to on a regular basis. I'm glad that you are coming at it from a historical perspective, too because it really will enlighten many of those like myself who are interested in genealogy. I've heard many people mistaken the Germans from Pennsylvania as the "Pennsylvania Dutch" when it was actually the "Pennsvylania Deutch" so I think it would be fascinating to learn more about the Mennonite and Amish culture and how it developed from early on to current day living and how they were perceived by the Germans in Pennsylvania. So great to know you are sharing these experiences with others!
