About this author

I read like you breathe and after nearly a lifetime of inhaling books, it is time for me to write a few.

I'm a native Texan, but have lived in Washington, D.C. where I worked for a very influential lobbyist. then I went to Boston for four years, returning to Texas after that. We try to spend the summers in Maine.

I had two successful careers as a pediatrician and a television health reporter (and was taking writing classes because I was bored) when systemic lupus rather rudely ended both my careers. It sent me into the half-lit world of the chronically ill. That was nearly twenty years ago.

I can't dance and I sure can't sing, but I can write. It's time for me to put the books I've been writing in my head onto paper.

Hmmm. I haven't read it in a while, I'll put it on my re-read list. I find books that left me cold when I was in school resonate a lot better in adulthood, especially when there's no book report due! Sorry to take so long to reply, but just finished the production part of my second book (not yet out)> I did nothing except detail work the last month.
