Maybe more like 3.5 stars. Overall, I enjoyed this Amish retelling of Persuasion, but it was a bit slow in parts. I liked the main characters and the way Price echoes the original story rather than following it exactly. A solid Christian romance espe ...more

I really liked this Amish retelling of Austen's Emma. The Amish setting/world seemed a natural fit for the storyline from the 19th century. (The storyline, general themes, and some of the names are all that are similar to Austen but since I don't exp ...more

Another fast, fun read from Valerie Comer! I really like how she makes each of her characters distinctive. The setting in Sweet Seranade was very well-done too, even more than usual for Comer (whose settings are usually well-done as is).

I really liked this novella. As a single parent, I can relate to the challenges Ian and Kelly face and appreciate the way Comer portrays their relationships with their girls. A sweet, fast read.
