Description:
Wealthy entrepreneur Nigel Cain has devised an efficient new way to bring the earth’s most precious resource to the masses – clean water – by transporting massive man-made icebergs from the frigid arctic and delivering them literally to the doorsteps of millions.
Gabriel Pike works at a small engineering firm that has been awarded the task of giving the final safety approval to pilot the first gigantic block of ice into New York harbor.
A consummate showman, Cain has built a fabulous 5-Star hotel and casino high atop the iceberg so his celebrity guests and media elite can cover this spectacle from beginning to end. Pike is whisked away from his work-a-day world and dropped into the lap of luxury where he’s expected to simply rubber-stamp his inspection.
A brutal winter storms ravages the iceberg and exposes structural inconsistencies and hidden agendas that fill Pike with serious doubts about the true intentions of the project. But a grisly double homicide on the ice puts the inspections on the back burner and sends Pike’s life spiraling out of control when he’s accused of being the jealous murderer in a lover’s triangle.
But Pike soon discovers that there is far more at stake than just his life. He uncovers a conspiracy more heinous than anything he could have imagined – a plot that will level a city, change the political face of America, and whose shockwaves will be felt around the world. Fate rests in his hands – if he can survive long enough to take action...

I do have my "Professional" email of paulbyersonline@yahoo.com, Gunfighter is my "everyday" account. It was named after the online fighter squadron I use to fly with, like you said, you meet all kinds here :)
Thanks for giving me a chance and I hope you enjoy my book. And tell your brother Congrats on finishing his!
Hi Paul, I saw your invite to me some days back and I didn't respond for a while because - quite frankly(!) - I wondered what kinda guy would have an email address called "gunfighter451st" and did I really want to know this guy? Well, anyway, having met several other really great folks on GoodReads I decided to 'wing it' and 'be your friend'. It looks like your own book is pretty interesting. I've added it to my 'to read' list - getting longer by the minutes. I'll post my thoughts on it when I get to reading it. Congratulations on your accomplishment of actually finishing such a daunting project as a book. My brother just finished his first book - took him 4+ years! "The Sacred Sea: A Journey to Lake Baikal" by peter thomson. I know that such a task is really challenging! Anyway, take care! S. Thomson

Hi, Paul. You joined the author ranks at 50, huh? Good for you. I didn't see publication until age 76. I'm still going strong, though. At 83 I have my fifth mystery coming out in April. All a matter of putting butt in chair and pressing keys. I have lots of senior friend writers. Maybe we should start an organization called OTHAL--Over the Hill Authors League.
Paul:Thanks for the friend add!
Take a look at my book, "Bader Field" recently published by Nightengale Press. Lots of flying of twin engine aircraft. Not military but an integral part of my life

Congratulations on your second book! It sounds really good. The cover is striking, too.
I've added it to my tbr list :)
Wishing you great success with your writing!
Cheers,
