Wow! What a lovely note to wake up to, this morning! The best advice I can give is a snippet of one that was given to me: Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid.
I took this to mean: have the courage to write honestly. Say what you have to say without "pulling any punches" or being afraid of how it will be received. Strive to make your readers "hear" the voices-in-your-head as clearly as you do!

Dear C.S,I would like to thank you for being my friend on Goodreads, as i am a huge admirer of your work and fan. I have currently begun to write a novel of fantasy genre and i have to admit that any advice would be really helpful, as i can be very critical of myself and negative; it is after all a very daunting prospect. It would be lovely to finish it within the next ten years, but we shall just have to wait and see! Thank you so much and it is really lovely to know you on Goodreads.
