I'm Betsy. I write things. My first novel, Tides, is forthcoming from Clarion/HMH in spring 2013. It's a young adult fantasy about selkies, set on the Isles of Shoals off the coast of Maine and New Hampshire. My second novel, Mechanica, is a middle grade steampunk retelling of Cinderella coming in 2014, also from Clarion. I'm an MFA student at the University of Notre Dame, where I also teach fiction writing and film and television studies. My agent is the wonderful Sara Crowe at Harvey Klinger, Inc.
