About this author

Dan H. Kind is lifelong lover of stories and the written word. A writer of irreverent comic fantasy (and sometimes horror), he lives in Virginia with his lovely wife, beautiful two-year-old daughter, a beagle, a toothless old dachshund, and a crazy half-Siamese furball.

When not making up wild tales or burying his face in a book, you'll find him hanging around the local airport. He appreciates well-cooked tofu. But don't send him any.

In honor of Father's Day (the upcoming holiday will be third I've been qualified for), I'm dropping the price of my novel The Fountain of Eden to 99 cents until the strike of midnight—or whenever I get around to changing it back to regular price—on June 17th.

More of Dan's books…
Joe Hill
“The Lotus Way might lead to nirvana, but it was a long trip, and when you had a lot of miles to cover, it was just natural to want some drive-thru along the road.”
Joe Hill, Wolverton Station

“But a good novel is first of all an event; as distinguished from the continuous rush of many sensations and the messy overlapping experiences of our daily lives, it is a composed experience in which all sensations are tightly related, for which there is a beginning and an ending, within which the reader’s perceivings and interpretations are shaped for a while by the internal integrity of all the elements of the narrative.”
Wangerin Jr., Walter, The Book of the Dun Cow

Jasper Fforde
“Although helpful, a disembodied hand on the Bugatti’s steering wheel was a bit creepy, especially because this one was hairy and had No More Pies tattooed on the back.”
Jasper Fforde, The Eye of Zoltar
