About this author

Writing and storytelling came along in elementary school, including rewriting song lyrics. Often, I would rewrite them to God, and my favorite to sing was “You Are the Sunshine of My Life.” I told elaborate tales to my Barbie and Dawn dolls, stuffed animals and imaginary friends. Around my middle and early high school days I was writing poetry and really terrible rock and roll lyrics. No, it’s true, they were horrible! I credit a high school English teacher for getting my head out of emo songs and into creative writing and fiction, and an art teacher who kept my creativity flowing in other areas.

After marrying and the children started to come along, my fiction writing slowed down as I became busy with the joys of being a young mom and study

It’s the second Sunday in May and here in Colorado you can almost bank on it being one of two things. Super hot or snowy. Today it’s snowy. It reminds me of May, 2008, when we moved to this wonderful, bi-polarized weather state. It did clear up to spend my first Mother’s Day here on a beautiful day.

Yes, this is a post about remembering, but it may not be the type of Mother’s Day post you’re exp...

Restoration: released July, 2013 (Romance)

Description: Book Three in the Lakeville Series Two Brothers, two paths. “I know what’s going on. What are you going to do to make it right?” Jude barked out a laugh...he was prepared for every argument. His stance declared he would have none of what Silas had to say. “Who says we’re not right?” Praying for the right words to be spoken and a fertile heart to hear them, Silas reached for his brother, plunging into the discussion he knew they needed to have. “Jude, you know the right thing. I don’t need to spout off a list of Scripture. What can I do?” “Mind your business." Jude shook off the hand on his arm. "That’s the first thing. No, that’s the ONLY thing.” “My brother walking in sin isn’t my business?” “We’re not kids anymore; you can stop looking out for me, it’s getting old. So, mind your business and go home. I don’t need Jiminy Cricket hanging around the door...” “Jiminy Cricket? How about the Holy Ghost? Don’t be a fool, Jude. You’re not hiding anything from Jesus.” “You’re boring me, Si. I pray every night and I haven’t missed church. All is well on that front. Now, go away.” Silas adopted a stubborn set to his face. The fabric of their relationship, worn to tatters from recent strains, tore apart. The impasse reached could destroy their close bond.

Now, with two of her five children left at home, change whizzes toward her at the speed of light. Frequently down, but never beaten, Sammie steps out in faith to face the new and exciting seasons awaiting her family.
