About this author

Boo Walker spent his College of Charleston years and a few after in Nashville as a banjoist and songwriter for the avant-garde punchgrass band, The Biscuit Boys. Some hand problems knocked him out of the game, and he stumbled into a position with a short term equity trading firm based out of Mt. Pleasant, SC. To feed his ravenous muse, he began writing his first novel, Lowcountry Punch. Around that time, what started as a passion in wine became a neurosis.

After six years of the Wall Street thing, Boo decided it was time to end his sedentary, computer-driven lifestyle. He grew out a handlebar mustache and moved clear across the country into a double-wide trailer situated on 5 acres of Malbec vines just down the road from Hedges Family Estate

At times, absolutely gorgeous. Bits of writing that will stand the test of time. But still, not my kind of book. A little too pretty.

I really didn't think I was going to like it but it's a really smart read. Great twists and quite dark. I'm not sure if I'll read her other books but this one was writing from a top pro in the industry. I had to skip some of the quirky dialogue and b ...more

Started out beautifully but I lost interest. Kind of fell back into a standard procedural with nothing that made it stand out.
Boo Walker and 39 other people liked O'Dell Isaac's review of Suspect:
Suspect by Robert Crais
"I'm a big fan of Robert Crais' Elvis Cole series (and the Joe Pike spinoff series), but I must admit I have been less of a fan of his stand-alone fiction. This is not a knock on Crais as a writer; it's more about my own tendency to form attachment..." Read more of this review »

“I told him I was sick unto death of miniwomen, miniclothes, miniloves, minideaths and my own damned minilife. I wanted empty cays, gaudy reefs, hot sun, swift fish, and maybe some talk when it was time for talking.”
John D. McDonald

“Mark Twain said, “The two most important days in your life is the day you were born and the day you find out why”
I don't remember the day I was born but I remember the day I found out why.
His name was Deuce.
He was my “why”.
And this is our story.
It is not a pretty one.
Some parts of it are downright ugly.
But it’s ours.
And because I believe everything happens for a reason, I wouldn’t change a thing”
Madeline Sheehan, Undeniable
