About this author

K.C. Sherwood was born in New Jersey in 1973. She graduated magna cum laude from Ramapo University in 1995 with a B.A. in history, from which she derived her love of the past. After college she gained employment as a U.S. Customs officer and, seeking warmer climes, transferred to San Diego to work at the southern border. She also did a short stint as a federal background investigator before leaving government service for the private sector. She currently works for the local water district and lives in Chula Vista, California with her husband and three children, where she continues to dream up fantastic adventures.

In Midnight at Moonglow’s, Casey finds out how important her home and family are to her, but I won’t say how in case you haven’t read it. No sp...

Love, love, loved it! Uniquely different, imaginative, creative. The whole premise of a boy being raised in a graveyard by ghosts is like nothing I've ever read before. The story was enchanting. A great book for kids to read if they're afraid of ghos...more

Creative, imaginative. I really liked this book. It is set in the late 1800's, a big plus right off the bat, and it has magic. Give me anything in a different time period and add magic, and you've got me! Plus a mystery to solve along the way. This b...more

“Why is it every other person you meet says they're an artist? A real artist doesn't need to gas on about it, he doesn't have time. He does his work and sweats it out in silence, and no one can help him at all.”
Paula McLain, The Paris Wife

“I'm homesick all the time," she said, still not looking at him "I just don't know where home is. There's this promise of happiness out there. I know it. I even feel it sometimes. But it's like chasing the moon - just when I think I have it, it disappears into the horizon. I grieve and try to move on, but then the damn thing comes back the next night, giving me hope of catching it all over again.”
Sarah Addison Allen, The Girl Who Chased the Moon

“I am not pretty. I am not beautiful. I am as radiant as the sun.”
