About this author

Allentown, PA is where it all started for me. I get my love of books from teachers (especially Ms. Weaver) and my aunt Diane. My love of writing and storytelling comes from somewhere deep inside. It is something I need to do.

From Allentown, I traveled to Melbourne, FL for college and El Segundo, CA for my first real job. My current home is in Houston, TX where I write mysteries with my brilliant husband, Mark Phillips.

I love to read - all kinds of books. My home is full of books I intend to read, the stacks keep growing. When I encounter a book I love, I devour it, and then regret that it is finished so soon.

I only review or comment on books that I enjoyed and wish to recommend to others. So if you see stars, or any sort of comment from, I...more

Christine Hi Charlotte, just dropping by for a visit. I would like to invite you to check out Shadow Forrest Authors for charity and help support illiteracy issues.

We also have a SFA group here on goodreads. Have a great week.

Charlotte Hi CJ,

Hope you weren't too disappointed. Mark and I have been heads down editing the next Eva novel and writing some short stories that are due in September. I haven't been on line much, and won't be until Sept, at least.

I have a short stack of books I've been able to read and plan to update my page, with reviews, as I can.

I recommend Hornswoggled (cozy, early America, very nice read), and if you enjoy sexy and funny romance - Ripping the Bodice.

Char

Roger Cottrell Hi Charlotte,
Always great to meet another thriller writer on Goodreads. Thanks very much for the friendship.

Charlotte Elizabeth,

Mark and I both love those authors and worked toward maintaining a Robert Crais type pace. Demolition Angel kept me on the edge of my seat - literally. I can only hope to be able to write that well one day.

Still, I think we did well in Hacksaw as far as keeping the action and suspense going. At least that's what readers have been telling us. The violence is a bit more graphic than some of the authors on your list. I'm only pointing that out because one reader on another site was very upset and felt deceived. She said the first chapter didn't provide a hint of what was to come.

If you decide to read it, please let me know what you think.

Charlotte

E.A. Charlott,
You and I have the same taste in authors, Robert Crais, Steve Hamilton, Michael Connelly, RK Rowlings, Nevada Bar, Dan Brown. If you write like you read then I should read your books.

Thanks for the friendship.

Charlotte Keani,

Thanks - what a nice greeting.

Happy New Year to you as well.

Charlotte Hi Chester, If you write PI stories, we have something in common. Hacksaw in the first in a new series for us (Mark and I write the Eva Baum stories together). Our PI is young and still making mistakes. So far, we've managed to keep her alive, but not entirely unscathed.

Best of luck to you and The Surest Poison.

Charlotte Thanks Janie. I'm looking forward to reading your reviews. In addition to reviews I remember to post here at GoodReads, I also write reviews on my blog - http://charsbookreviews.blogspot.com/. Stop by sometime and visit. Today's post is about self-published books. It is not a review, but I'm hoping ot see book recommendations from others via the comments.
