About this author

I'm a freelance writer with a penchant for the dark and strange. I primarily write speculative fiction but enjoy literary writing as well.

I'm technically a musician and have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in music but I prefer writing, and playing with my shiba inu pup, Lego.

I’m back after a week long trip to Ireland to see family and the Emerald Isle. Yes, Ireland is so green it doesliterallyhurt your eyes. I love travelling and seeing new places. It serves as great inspiration for writing… Ever since I was a kid, I’ve enjoyed travelling. The travel bug bit hard in my [...] read more »

Emily Brontë
“I cannot express it; but surely you and everybody have a notion that there is or should be an existence of yours beyond you. What were the use of my creation, if I were entirely contained here? My great miseries in this world have been Heathcliff's miseries, and I watched and felt each from the beginning: my great thought in living is himself. If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger: I should not seem a part of it. My love for Linton is like the foliage in the woods: time will change it, I'm well aware, as winter changes the trees. My love for Heathcliff resembles the eternal rocks beneath: a source of little visible delight, but necessary. Nelly, I am Heathcliff! He's always, always in my mind: not as a pleasure, any more than I am always a pleasure to myself, but as my own being.”
Emily Brontë, Wuthering Heights

Neil Gaiman
“Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up.”
Neil Gaiman, The Sandman, Vol. 9: The Kindly Ones

Neil Gaiman
“Sometimes you wake up. Sometimes the fall kills you. And sometimes, when you fall, you fly.”
Neil Gaiman, The Sandman, Vol. 6: Fables and Reflections

Hubert Selby Jr.
“I suspect there will never be a requiem for a dream, simply because it will destroy us before we have the opportunity to mourn it's passing.”
Hubert Selby Jr., Requiem for a Dream

Poppy Z. Brite
“The night is the hardest time to be alive and 4am knows all my secrets.”
