I find so many other things to do: vacuum the floor, eat chocolate, walk the dog. And, when I finally sit down at the computer, then I have to fight with FaceBook and YouTube. So, I write long-hand, on my sofa, away from my computer.

Once I get started, though, I remember why I love it. It's hard to stop. But, when I do, I start all over again with the writer's block. It's a vicious cycle!(less)

Picture Dear Riley,

I have known you for seventeen years today. When we first met, you didn't know much of anything. Although I knew a bunch more than you that first day, you've given me many reasons to be grateful since then.

Your mom and I were married seven years before we decided to meet you. People told us countless times during those years, "You need to be parents. You'll experience a kind of love... Read more of this blog post »

Leon Baxter Well, it's here. My book, Secrets of Safety-Net Parenting, is available, and I am hoping I can count on you to help me make it a best seller (http://www.amazon.com/Secrets.../dp/1......). It's available on Kindle, too.

I'm hoping to get a lot of sales during December. So, if you would like to read it, now is the time to order. If you know friends, family, coworkers, etc who are parents or work with parents, consider getting one to put into their stockings.

Also, do me a favor and tell parents you know about the book and the new website, http://www.SafetyNetters.com (you can actually buy the book and then enter to win one as a gift on the website). Word of mouth is incredibly powerful. Ask your local library and bookstore (if you still have any) to carry the book. And, if you just don't agree with what I say about parenting, but want to support me, buy the dang book so you have fodder in which to refute.

So please share! Thanks so much for your support and wish me luck!

Leon Baxter If you have a minute to help me, I'd appreciate it.

Head on over to this post by my publisher on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...), and find the comment about "The Finance of Romance". Then, "like" it. My publisher will issue a coupon code for the book's post with the most likes, which means if you haven't gotten the book yet, you'll be able to grab it at a great price.

So head over, like it and share with others. Thanks. The Finance of Romance Investing in Your Relationship Portfolio by Leon Scott Baxter
