About this author

I spent most of my youth in the deserts of the Southwest. Even after all these years away, I still consider myself to be a Texan & with that comes the love of fireworks, firearms, and the Dallas Cowboys...well, the Cowboys and I share a love/hate relationship, depending on the game ;)

I now reside with my husband and teenage son in a cozy, yet Stephen King-like community on the Chesapeake Bay. Although I am terrified of being on top of water, in water, around water, and sharks, I am becoming quite an avid shark tooth hunter! I love to spend my weekends exploring the cliffs in search of teeth and assorted bones. I have a growing collection of jars on my living room mantle proudly displaying the teeth, bones, & miscellaneous body parts...more

I know this is going to sound crazy, but I don't blog. I don't Facebook, Skype, LinkedIn, Text, or Twitter. I'm trying to get with the social media program, but I'm exhausted. I've also run out of original user IDs for my accounts, so there's really no hope for me... Luckily for us all, there are many people out there doing some great blogging, and these are some I follow:

Marco Hi JL, the HP Lovecraft book looks great, and so does yours. I don't come across many comedy writers on GR, but here you are! Feel free to stop by my site sometime, http://www.theskyinsideyou.com

I love hunting for shark's teeth! I have spent the last 2 summers perfecting my pseudo-scientific theories as to the best time of day, location, and what equipment to use. All I've managed to find so far is thousands of those little "tourist teeth"... every few months I release them back into the Bay, hoping the Bay deity will spit out a huge tooth for me in exchange...
One day last Fall my son was out walking the dog on the beach - no where near the water's edge - and literally TRIPPED on a tooth. 2.5 inches long, almost 2 inches wide. Unbelievable.

Stuart Land J.L. said: "Hi! Was checking out your reading shelves... interesting what we have in common, but also very interesting what we do not have in common... looking for new friends with different tastes to keep me from getting in a rut. Hope you accept my friend request :)"

Friendship accepted, JL. Thanks for asking. Well, we not only have some books in common (though our ratings seem to be a bit off), but I grew up near the Chesapeake Bay and spent many days hunting shark's teeth. I didn't think they had any left. The biggest one I found (and still have) was about 1 1/2 inches. I have the theme for you new novel: While many animals go to a special place to die (ie fantasy graveyards for elephants) sharks go to the Chesaspeake Bay for dental work. OK, you owe me if the book goes viral!

Eva You're comment made me laugh - it's obvious you're a very funny person. I'd bet a decent sum of money that your book would never be in the 'trashcan' list!
I'm looking forward to reading it. I haven't ever gotten into humorous books as much as I'd like so when I find a good one I cherish it. :)
