About this author

Bill Blume is a fantasy writer whose short stories have appeared in various anthologies and online magazines. He's the current chair on the board of directors to James River Writers. He's also the creator of the online photo comic "The Wildcat's Lair." Bill works as a 911 dispatcher for Henrico County in Richmond, Virginia, and is a former television news producer. He earned a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina. His latest short story, "Waist Deep," was recently released as part of the anthology The End was Not the End from Seventh Star Press.


I feel the need to further a discussion started recently by writer Maggie Stiefvater. This past month, she went on a rant about the ridiculous overuse of rape within literature. I would say that I couldn't agree more, but in fact, I can agree far more.
