About this author

I live in a small country town in the south west of Western Australia. I am an avid reader, and have been writing from a young age.
My debut novel 'Heart's Promise' and my second novel 'Where The Heart Is' are works of fiction set in my hometown and the stories are woven from my experiences and those of others I have known.
I like variety and have released a sexy romance novel - Candy's Man.
My current WIP - Grapevines and Gum Trees - will be out soon.

Candy's Man (Romance)
1 chapters   —   updated Jan 19, 2013 06:56am
Description: The moment Candace (Candy) Walker steps foot on a cruise ship, she begins a journey that will turn her world upside down. Recently divorced, the last thing Candy seeks is a serious relationship. She meets a sexy American stranger, throws all propriety out the window, and then relegates their passionate encounter to a holiday ‘fling’. On arrival back in Sydney, Australia, Candy doesn’t know all hell is about to break loose until she meets her new ‘boss’, but that is the least of her problems. Cleve Hammond is a man with a secret, and Candy is a complication he does not expect nor want. Or so he tells himself. When his twin brother, Nash, becomes embroiled in the situation, Cleve begins to question his feelings. The emotions stirring within him may jeopardise everything he has worked so hard to conceal. He can't afford to let down his guard after what happened in his past but Candy seems to be getting under his skin. As for Candy, she must begin to wade through the ensuing chaos of Nash's affections and her twin sister’s unexpected arrival on her doorstep. But perhaps her biggest challenge is letting go of her past once and for all, and learning to trust again. http://www.jeanettehornby.com.au/
Candy's Man - A Short Prelude (Romance)

Description: Recently divorced, Candace (Candy) Walker, leaves the security of her home in Sydney and sets off on a cruise to the Caribbean. The last thing she expects is to fall into bed with a sexy, American stranger. Cleve Hammond is the epitome of masculinity and is about to turn her world upside down.
Where The Heart Is (Romance)
1 chapters   —   updated Aug 03, 2012 05:59am
Description: After the breakdown of a relationship, Daniela (Dani) Sante moves from Perth where she has lived for a year, and returns to her hometown, Waroona. Surprised by house-guest, Antonio Bartolini, Dani is not pleased that he is residing in her home. The return to Waroona does not give Dani the comfort she had hoped for. The drama taking place around her is unsettling and she longs for peace, but the problems of family and friends are not easily pushed aside. When the police arrive at her door, Dani realises that her Perth ‘home’ was not the safe haven she thought it was. Added to this, is her growing resentment towards Antonio. Having struggled to accept her Italian heritage for most of her eighteen years, Antonio represents all that she loathes. The fact that he is extremely handsome and charming only adds to the conflict within her. Will Dani overcome her bias and accept Antonio for who he is? And will she follow her heart, before it’s too late?
Heart's Promise (Literature & Fiction)

Description: This book is a work of fiction set in the small, rural town of Waroona in the 1970’s. The story follows the experiences of the main character, Emilia (Milly) Garcia, and her best friend, Patricia (Patty) Brennan. Milly is trying to come to terms with her Italian heritage, the unfamiliar emotions of adolescence, and her attraction to Patty’s brother, Flynn. Should she let her feelings for Flynn be known and risk rejection? Or should she keep the attraction a secret and suffer in silence? Meanwhile, Milly discovers some of the secrets hidden behind closed doors, and realises that not all families are happy ones. With a succession of worrying events, she struggles to find answers. It doesn’t help when she receives messages from the ‘other-side’ but can’t stop the bad things happening. Whilst coming to terms with loss and attempting to release the past, Milly finds she is bound by promises of the heart.
