About this author

I was born in the Ukraine and worked really hard to start my own business. It wasn't that long ago that we were all on welfare and food stamps. Now, I'm able to help a lot more people by hiring them through my business.

I've written and co-written several books one that is out, another that will be out in a few weeks (my memoir 17 Cents & A Dream) and then two more that I'm working on that will be coming out later this year.

Other than that, I'm always spending time with my daughter and family with my blackberry in hand.

This is the book for anyone who appreciates the game of baseball. It crystallizes what specific factors weigh in to Oakland's player evaluation metrics, and how they leverage inefficiencies in the market to their advantage. It's a wonderful book that...more

An interesting book for those interested in banking and Wall Street. It's very informative and entertaining. Roger Lowenstein does a great job of making what could have been a highly technical analysis of LTCMs trades and strategies into an book that...more

Such an interesting book. It's very readable, compelling and well investigated. Aside from the entertainment value of the book, I feel that I have gained a healthy skepticism. For example, when a company executive tells you they're doing fine, underv...more

Such a powerful book!. It makes you understand how the real life in sales looks like. It emphasizes the point that the daily business of economics is more about social relationships than simply about money and exchange. The book really captures the e...more

“There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but he must take it because conscience tells him it is right.”
Martin Luther King Jr., A Testament of Hope: The Essential Writings and Speeches

“If the real world were a book, it would never find a publisher. Overlong, detailed to the point of distraction-and ultimately, without a major resolution.”
Jasper Fforde, Something Rotten

“The books - the generous friends who met me without suspicion - the merciful masters who never used me ill!”
