Shawn G. Rainbolt works as a Sales Representative for Rug Doctor, Inc. In his free time he writes and publishes children and young adult books.

His recent work, published December 2012, is a new children's book series, "Squirrel & The Hound." This is the first work featuring G. Scott Van Der Mout's illustrative talents.

It was on March 13, 2011 that Rainbolt published his first young adult science fiction book, Dear Sun, I Am Real (ISBN 978-0-615-44330-0).

Forthcoming titles include: "Dim Earth", "The One Coat of Finholloway", "The Lazarus Wrinkle", and "Forgotten Suns".
