About this author

Paula's second poetry collection, Ghost Fargo, was selected by Franz Wright for the Nightboat Poetry Prize and released in 2010. She is also the author of Upon Arrival and of three chapbooks. A Jerome grant recipient, her poems have most recently appeared or are forthcoming in Poetry City, USA; Forklift, OH; H_NGM_N; A Handsome Journal; The Laurel Review; Cafe Review; BOMB; REVOLUTIONesque; Everyday Genius; and failbetter.com.

While raising her son and earning her BA from St. Catherine's University and her MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts, Paula worked in warehouses, was a mosaic artist mentor to Minneapolis teens, owned a coffee shop, and waited one million tables.

Daniel Folks, after reading Paula's reviews, I learned something: Neither Paula nor I will let you borrow any of our favorite books anymore.

I wish you the best of literary experiences, Paula.

btw I've added your books Upon arrival and How birds Work to my to-read list.
