Carrie Doyle Karasyov was born in New York City. Upon graduation from Barnard College, where she majored in Russian Language and Literature, Carrie worked in the features department of Harper's Bazaar. In 1995, Carrie moved to Moscow, Russia, to help launch the Russian edition of Harper's Bazaar. The following year, she became founding Editor-in-Chief of the Russian edition of Marie Claire. After two years, Carrie left and moved part time to New York City and part-time to Fontainbleau, France, where her fiancé (now husband) was getting his M.B.A.

Carrie reunited with Jill Kargman, her friend from the Spence School and the Taft School, and together they wrote the movie Intern, which premiered at Sundance in 1999. What followed were sales of s...more
