About this author

Samuel Snoek-Brown has published in Ampersand Review, Bartleby Snopes, Eunoia Review, Fiction Circus, Fried Chicken and Coffee, Prick of the Spindle, Red Fez, and others. He also works for Jersey Devil Press and Unshod Quills. His short fiction has been anthologized in Midwest Literary Review's Soft Corners and Meg Tuite's Exquisite Quartet Anthology 2012. He was shortlisted as a finalist in the 2010 Faulkner-Wisdom competition; his novella also was a semi-finalist in the 2010 Faulkner-Wisdom competition. Excerpts from his Civil War novel Hagridden appear in the special "pitch" issue of Artistically Declined Press's Sententia and in SOL: English Writing in Mexico. He is the recipient of the 2013 Oregon Literary Fellowship.
