D. Miles Martin is a former English teacher who now writes horror and dark fantasy from his home near the Lake Michigan shoreline where he lives with his wife. He has been inventing stories since he was ten years old. When not fretting about comma placement, he enjoys rock climbing, volunteering, reading (of course) and a fine glass of wine.

A passion for volunteering and helping others brought him to teaching. While he doesn't still teach, he hasn't lost the passion for volunteering. His blog shares some of the people he's met along the way and hopefully gives some information about how absolutely anyone can give back.
