| It's different from a normal Holmes book because Holmes isn't in it for a bunch of the time, but then everything spins around toward the end and becomes exceedingly entertaining. It amazes me how these Holmes books never feel dull or redundant. | |
"I enjoyed the book but feel the movie is a bit better. It's not as racist which I feel makes it more timeless."

| I read the R.A. Shoaf version, which I heavily recommend because it has good annotations and explains the tougher parts to understand. I liked the poem heavily, though it's not as good as The Canterbury Tales. It's always nice to read Chaucer though. | |
