About this author

Author of THE GLIMPSE, Faber & Faber, expected release June 2012.

Claire wrote her first paranormal screenplay at the age of thirteen and named it after a road sign. DANGER ALIVE never made it to the big screen, but she continued to write and daydream her way through school and university, graduated with a BA (Hons) in Film Studies, and spent the next few years working in the British Film Industry.

This is the first time I've actually put off reading the last few chapters of a book because I really didn't want it to end and because I was worried about how it was going to end and who was going to die. An excellent read and a favourite for 2014.

“It was like a curse. He was her antidote. She was his poison.”
Claire Merle, The Glimpse

“There were two choices in life. Survive or succumb. And most people weren’t even conscious of the path they chose. Because they chose for all the wrong reasons. Love, principles, dreams, desire. The world hadn’t changed. It had always been survival of the fittest.”
Claire Merle

“The Board would like to come back and see you tomorrow, Ariana,' she mimicked. 'Any more questions?'
'Yes,' she answered in the Warden's Irish accent, 'I'd just like to know why I'm such an arsehole.”
Claire Merle, The Glimpse

Raihana Thanks for the friend request Claire! :)
I can't wait to read glimpse!<3

Claire Merle Hi Donna, yes exactly! Not many of us around -- UK bloggers or authors!! That's why I was so excited to find your blog. I love having a slightly more British perspective and I was just taking a look at some of your reviews. I see you love Jen Armentout's Half-Blood and Obsidian. She's such a fantastic writer -- we've been online friends from back b4 we were both published. It's so great seeing her get the attention she deserves! Glad you like the sound of my book. I'll ask my publisher to put you on the list for ARCs!!

Donna {Book Passion for Life} Hey Claire, thanks for the request. It's always great to meet another people from the UK...there aren't that many of us around. Look forward to chatting with you.
Your book sounds awesome btw!!!
