I truly enjoyed this book - the details were amazing, the style very compelling and thought-provoking, and I loved the main character of Alfred. It's difficult to pull off First-Person POV, and Smith does an admirable job handling the in-depth emotio...more

I loved Book 1 of the Hearts of Owyhee, Much Ado About Marshals. Book 2 provides more laughs and interesting characters, and Rogers does a great job making each of the "ladies" unique. Hero Reese falls for prudish schoolmarm Lucinda, and they both ha...more

Brutal. Cruel, cruel world envisioned in The Hunger Games. Children killing children for entertainment. In a way, Collins mirrors our world today in a subtle, underhanded way - don't killers vie for attentio...more
