I really enjoyed this tale of good versus evil. Good characters who I actually cared about (well, some of them anyway!).
The laughing out loud, the gripping drama and the "hand punched in the air moment" all make for a wonderfully entertaining read... " Read more of this review » |

Sorry for taking a while to respond. I've set myself a challenge for a competition (Times / Chicken House)to take the word count on the book down from 159K to 80K, so have been working on this non-stop. Deadline is next Friday. I don't expect to win, but it's been an interesting experience into editing. The book has a brand new beginning, shortened middle, but the final battles are pretty much untouched. Personally, I don't think I'll better the original version, though.
I really appreciate your comments, it's strange to have a fan - good strange, though! I'm just really pleased that people like the book - it's an amazing feeling.
After I've finished the competition edit, I'm going to start on the sequel. It will probably take a year / 18 months to perfect (unless the original is picked up by an agent, that is), but if you're OK with it, it would be great if I could send you an advance reader copy.
Regards
Oldman
