About this author

** I would like to apologise for not updating this and other pages on Goodreads but personal, family matters have prevented much use of my PC over the last few weeks, what with hospital visiting and other pressing matters. Hopefully as the year progresses things will improve. I can only hope and try to remain positive. **

I am a writer and author of many years standing, which considering the fact that I was born dyslexic is quite surprising. I began creating stories and poetry before I could either read or write and was first in print at the age of eight (after a great deal of editing of my atrocious spelling by my teacher). It took many years of coping with and coming to terms with my disability before I actually became a published author....more

Wishing one and all a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

More of Rosemary's books…
“We are all children of the age into which we are born.”
Rosemary J. Peel, Lust, Love and Lies

“Across the years an anguished call
Drifts with the tide,
"They've killed my boy!" - by thousands multiply.”
Rosemary J. Peel, The Pottery Fish Poetry Collection

“Wartime fears and hardship had faded,
We looked to the future with hope:
Expectations rose high as new flats in the sky,
And “We’d never had it so good!”
Rosemary J. Peel, The Pottery Fish Poetry Collection

“O, wad some Power the giftie gie us
To see oursels as others see us!
It wad frae monie a blunder free us,
An' foolish notion.”
Robert Burns, The Complete Poetical Works of Robert Burns

“The best laid schemes o' mice an' men gang aft agley.”
Robert Burns, The Works of Robert Burns

“Read not to contradict and confute; nor to believe and take for granted; nor to find talk and discourse; but to weigh and consider. Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested: that is, some books are to be read only in parts, others to be read, but not curiously, and some few to be read wholly, and with diligence and attention.”
Francis Bacon, The Essays

“See the happy moron,
He doesn't give a damn,
I wish I were a moron,
My God! perhaps I am!”
Eugenics Review, 1929

“We are all children of the age into which we are born.”
Rosemary J. Peel, Lust, Love and Lies
