About this author

Angela "LemurKat" Oliver was born and raised in New Zealand. She currently resides in the city of Christchurch where she lives with her husband and overactive imagination. Having achieved a degree in zoology and psychology, she went on to get a job working in a bookstore. And thus, her life revolves around books - she sells them, reads them and writes them. Her other hobbies involve drawing and she creates miniature works of art which she distributes around the world (into over 80 countries so far!).

Currently, she has three published novels, and several art books. Her current work-in-progress is book two of her "Epic Lemur trilogy" and sometime this decade she is planning on finishing the prequel to "Aroha's Grand Adventure" - starring Tiri...more

How does someone as incompetent as our hero manage to survive the biggest scourge his people have ever faced? Well, thankfully this story answers this question.

Overall, this reminded me somewhat of the Dresden Files, if it were narrated by Richard Ma...more

This story just keeps getting darker! A few twists here, including some I didn't see coming (that were surprising, yet inevitable) and Seth is really starting to show himself as more a reckless hero than just a reckless kid.

Still enjoying this series. Great romp, with interesting premise, well-paced plot and fun characters.

Mull doesn't shy away from character deaths either.

A highly enjoyable, most entertaining romp through a magical world. The characters are well developed, although you will likely grow as frustrated with Seth as I did! But hey, he's an eleven/twelve year old boy - if he were as sensible as his sister,...more
