Jeffrey David Payne began writing at age seven when his work was selected for the Missouri Young Author's Conference. Since that time he's studied Mathematics at DePaul University, Nuclear Engineering at Naval Nuclear Power School, and co-founded a software company whose technology provides logistics support for some of the hottest entertainment properties in the world. His technical writing has been featured in several prominent journals and his play Transition Team was recently selected for the 2007 Kansas City Playwrights Festival. He is a member of the Pacific Northwest Writers Association and lives in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle with his wife Kathryn and newborn son Oliver.
