She won her first writing contest when she was in the 4th grade, and a year later she was lucky to have a teacher whose open praise and attentiveness allowed her to realize at the age of eleven that she wanted to be writer.

Over the years, her love for the cra...more

" I won this book on Goodreads.
This author is a wonderful storyteller, and this is a very sweet, feel-good story. It reads sort of like a Lifetime movie, but a good one. The characters are likeable and relatable, and the reader quickly gets invested... " Read more of this review »

“You loved me- then what right had you to leave me? What right- answer me- for the poor fancy you felt for Linton? Because misery, and degradation, and death, and nothing that God or satan could inflict would have parted us, you, of you own will, did it. I have not broken your heart- you have broken it- and in breaking it, you have broken mine... oh God! would you like to live with your soul in the grave?... 'I love my murderer- but yours! How can I?”
― Emily Bronte

Jane Austen
“I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! -- When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.”
Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

Jane Austen
“There are few people whom I really love, and still fewer of whom I think well. The more I see of the world, the more am I dissatisfied with it; and every day confirms my belief of the inconsistency of all human characters, and of the little dependence that can be placed on the appearance of merit or sense.”
Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

Jane Austen
“In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.”
Jane Austen, Pride And Prejudice

Jane Austen
“I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun.”
