About this author

I like to tell stories. Mostly with hot guys and happily ever afters. They gotta work for it though. No free lunches on my watch.

Yay! Exciting news! My historical western Sweetwater is now available for pre-order from Riptide.

Wyoming Territory, 1870.Elijah Carter is afflicted. Most of the townsfolk of South Pass City treat him as a simpleton because he’s deaf, but that’s not his only problem. Something in Elijah runs contrary to nature and to God. Something that Elijah desperately tries to keep hidden.Harlan Crane, own... Read more of this blog post »

“I'm a supporter of gay rights. And not a closet supporter either. From the time I was a kid, I have never been able to understand attacks upon the gay community. There are so many qualities that make up a human being... by the time I get through with all the things that I really admire about people, what they do with their private parts is probably so low on the list that it is irrelevant.”

I hear you! I feel terrible for those couples whose marriages are now "illegal". Even if they knew this was going to happen, it must be heartbreaking.

I really just don't understand it. Heaps of people marry in courthouses every day. Marriage is NOT a purely religious institution, therefore purely religious definitions shouldn't apply.

It's very disheartening, especially given that surveys show that most people support marriage equality.

message 66: by Pjm12

Pjm12 Lisa, did you see the federal court has overturned the ACT's same-sex marriage law? Gosh, that sucks! More so for me because it turns out people were already expecting it to happen.

And what about all those people who really believed they had been married (for all of four days)?

Pah! I am disgusted right now. It shouldn't feel bad to be Australian. But lately, sometimes I do.
